"She's-A-Big-Kid-Now!"

Josie did two big things this week:
1. Wore underwear to day care
2. Slept (sort of) in her big girl bed.

She wore underwear on Wednesday and went almost the whole day without an accident until the end of the day. :-( Yesterday she had an accident while at the park. Those are the only two accidents so far. She's been doing pretty well and again, I have our day care provide to thank for all the help/support with this.

Big Girl Bed - The first night she slept in her bed she fell out about 12:30 so I picked up and put her in her crib. She slept in her crib the rest of the week until last night she wanted to try her big girl bed again. I got up about 1:30 with A.J. and I peeked in her room - she’s sleeping on the floor. She either fell out and didn’t know it or was too tired to crawl back in bed or go in our room to tell us. We have pillows and blankets piled up along the bed so she has a soft landing at least. We don’t have a guard rail yet but are likely to purchase one – we OBVIOUSLY need one. That should help, although I’m still not in a big hurry to get her out of her crib, but I am anxious for A.J. to get in a crib. He's still in a pack-n-play in his room.

Josie has also had some “Josie-isms” lately. The other day while sitting on the toilet trying to go pee she said “I gotta listen for my pee.” Then she puts her elbows on her knees and hands on her cheeks repeating “come on pee, come on pee, come on pee.”

Another one: she talks really well for her age and understands us really well but there are some things she doesn’t quite understand yet. For example: a tissue she interprets as “tish you” so when you ask her if she needs a “tissue” she says “tish me” or if I ask her to give me a tissue she'll say "tish you."
