Thanksiving 2008

I can't believe I didn't take any pictures this weekend for Thanksgiving! After realizing it on the drive back to Wisconsin, I decided to take a couple pictures of the kids in their car seats! :-) They both traveled really well! AJ is a great traveler anyway, but on the way to Iowa he slept the entire time and on the way home he slept for about 2 hours and just hung out the rest of the time. Josie also did really well.. we colored, read books, watched about 7 different DVD's and when she would get antsy, we'd give her a treat. M&M's worked great yesterday! :-)

Our happy traveler

Our restless traveler - notice that she managed to get out of her shoulder straps (we had to fix that) and also managed to peel off the padding on the side of her car seat.

So...what did we do this weekend? Well, we were busy. We left Thanksiving morning around 8:30 for Iowa and went to my brother's house for Thankgiving dinner. Then we went to Mike's grandpa's house later that night to see everyone on that side of the family. We stayed at my parent's house so that Josie and her cousin Nick could play. Friday night we had Mike's neice babysit and we all went out for dinner then out for a couple drinks afterwards. We had a good time, running into friends we haven't seen in a long time. Of course, the kids were up bright and early on Sat. morning. They have it all figured out, don't they? The rest of the weekend we spent hangn' out with the family. Josie helped her Grandma Alesch decorate her Christmas tree and got to play with her cousins on the Alesch side of the family, too. She has a blast when going to Iowa for that reason!

We got back last night and put the Christmas tree up. We have an artificial one this year. We came back to about 4" of snow yesterday so the outdoor decorations will have to wait.
