A.J turned one yesterday...boy the time flew. I do miss the newborn stage, but it's been fun watching him grow. He's been doing so many things over the last several months - it's amazing what they pick up on and how they know what things are used for. For example, trying to put a shoe on (hilarious!), using a crayon on a piece of paper, opening a book and chattering away, using a brush to brush hair, putting the phone to the ear, aiming the remote at the t.v, etc.
His first birthday consisted of a small party with just us. I made mac and cheese, per Josie's request, and had cake and ice cream.
