Christmas 2009

Christmas was spent without extended family for the first time - EVER. We didn't make it back to Iowa due to the nasty weather they got there. We hung out with some friends who were also stranded in Wisconsin and couldn't travel. We made the best of it and enjoyed the time to ourselves.

Josie was fun this year actually understanding that Santa was coming to bring her presents. She watched out the window that night (while she was supposed to be in bed, spleeping)and came out running "Daddy, can Santa's sleigh break down?" Mike, "why?" Josie: "Because I just saw smoke." We reassured her that no matter what, Santa would make it. And he did.

We made it back over New Year's weekend. We had to spend most of it indoors because of the -34 degree temps. Amy and I decided to take Nick and Josie to see Alvin and The Chipmunks, just to get them out of the house for a couple hours. They both enjoyed the movie and it was Josie's first movie in a theatre. We had a good time over the weekend, but it's always nice to get back home.

Josie was sad to have to leave Iowa!

Connor showing me his present with Father Tom in the background trying to check it out. Jess is in the background, saying something to Marty?

(check out his lips) "ooooohhh, Elmo"

"Yay! I got Notre Dame pom-poms"

A.J. "Cheeeeessse"

awwwwwww...we like each other. For about 30 seconds.
