I'm happy to report that our little non-sleeper has been sleeping fabulous lately(now that he's healthy). I'm sure it won't last, he's probably just going through a little growth spurt now, but I'm happy that we're getting some rest again in our household.
It just dawned on me today that he is almost 11 mos, which means he's almost ONE! I can't believe how fast the time flew. He's been very average as far as progressing goes. He waves bye-bye, points at things when he's talking about something, says "ma, ma", "da da", and other jibberish that we don't have a clue what it is. He has 3 teeth, eats some table food, but unlike Josie has had a harder time with the big people food. He uses a sippy cup (although not well) and doesn't really have much intrest in a bottle anymore unless he's tired, then he usually has one before bed. Otherwise if we give him one he takes an ounce or two and throws it on the floor.
He doesn't show a lot of interest in walking either. I've tried walking with him holding his hands like Josie used to love to do and he gets mad. He'd rather crawl or be carried. He has however, been standing alone for longer periods of time and takes off with things that he can push (as I reported in my last post), otherwise, he could really careless.
His personality has really shown lately, too. He definitely lets us know that he's not happy about something. He throws a fit already if he doesn't get to do what he wants! He gets over it pretty quick though, which is good.
As far as Josie goes, she's a riot, what more can I say? She's really into her dolls and other than drawing or coloring, that's about all she does now. It's funny listening to her with them. We've mastered the potty-training and she's now in her big girl bed which is going really well. She still loves swimming lessons, but really only likes the "free time". Last week she took off by herself with a noodle from one end of the pool to the other. I was really surprised and also a little freaked thinking she could go under at anytime (she did have floaties on at least, but still!). That girl has no fear though. She giggled the entire time.
The new daycare seems to be going really well so far, too. There are kids there that are Josie's age and one that's around A.J's age and they both seem very happy when I pick them up in the afternoon. Josie talks non-stop on the way home and tells me everything they did that day.

I can't believe A.J. is going to be 1! He is such a cutie! I don't know if you remember, but none of my kids progressed at anything earlier than ave., I think they're turning out ok. Before you know it A.J. will be chasing Josie all over the house driving her & her friends crazy! LOL! Miss you guys!
sweet picture ~ glad to hear everyone is healthy again in your household!
