Our Happy Boy is Back!

After a bad case of double ear infection, fevers, cough, runny/stuffy nose and diarrhea, our little happy boy is now smiling again! It was his first time being sick (besides a cold) and he had it pretty rough. We did not get a lot of sleep the past couple of weeks but I think we're finally getting back to normal again. It first began with the stomach flu that we all eventually got, then the kids got their colds and all the other yucky stuff with it.

Dad came to visit last weekend and of course that's when the kids began their colds and A.J's first ear infection appeared, so we didn't do a whole lot while he was here. We managed to sneak out for dinner on Saturday night and have a few drinks afterwards, but that's about it.

A.J's ear infection eventually turned into double ear infection and was out of day care for almost the entire week. Note: AMOXICILLIN DOES NOT WORK FOR EAR INFECTIONS!! Josie also had a fever and a cold so I told Mike I would to stay home with them to take care of them. Not that he couldn't do the job, they just prefer their mommy when their sick and I didn't want to leave them!. So, I was home with them for a few days. By Thursday, I was pretty much at my wit's end. A.J. is a heavy 23 lbs and wanted to be carried ALL THE TIME, I also had a 2 1/2 year old demanding my attention, and we all were going on very little sleep. I thought I was going to go crazy!

So, I gave in to a little break and went back to work on Thursday. Mike stayed home with them and they went back to day care on Friday! By the weekend, all were happy again and I think we got caught up on our sleep! (I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that we're all healthy again!)
