Our Three-Year-Old

A.J. had his three year check up about a month ago. He is still pretty average, or less than average for size - he is in the 40th percentile for heighth and 50th for weight.

I think we're entering the "terrible threes" - I'm bracing myself, it could be a bad one. He shows us that the can have some pretty good tantrums, yell so the neighborhood can hear him, kick, whine, and aggrivate Josie to no end. Not that this is a big change from two, but he's showing a little bit more personality and coming out of his shell more, so these could get worse. He's also kind of sassy. Like Josie.

POTTY TRAINING: He's finally there!!! YAY!! It's been underwear during the day, and Pull-ups at night for a couple months now. He even got up in the night the other night to go, without even telling us. He only yelled for me when he couldn't get his pj's back on.

VOCABULARY: He is completing more and more sentences correctly. I know I should correct his sentences when he says them wrong, but it's so darn cute! I will miss him saying things like "what? what I dood?" when he's in trouble.

Overall, he's all BOY - not even wanting to paint his nails or play dress up with Josie anymore. He'd rather play with a ball, cars, tractors, dinosaurs, or drive his four-wheeler.

(Thanks for the picture, Brenda!) :)
