Updates

This past weekend was the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. We met some friends down at the fest grounds on Friday night to listen to the Dweebs. We ran into Jackie, a cousin of Mike's, who ends up in La Crosse every year for Oktoberfest. :-)

Not much else to report in the Alesch household. I golfed the weekend before last in a scramble - it was my second time golfing this year so I did not do very well, but it was fun. Mike is hunting some now and of course his back is starting to go out again!!

AJ is finally sleeping better so we're getting a little more sleep! His Pediatrician put him on Zantac and I think that's what helped and he is off his other medication for thrush so I think that also helped. We will probabaly start him on cereal within the next couple of weeks. He's really into the screaming lately...not screaming because he's mad or upset; he screams at random times like when he's playing in his exersaucer or on the floor. I think he's mostly excited, but I comes out as a LOUD scream!! He also really, really, wants to sit up but is still too wobbly.

Josie continues to act the age of two. She says the most hilarious things sometimes! Her new thing now is when asking her if she wants something she'll reply with "yes, that would be great! Thank you." She does do really well with her manners, asking nicely for things and saying please and thank you's (SO FAR!). Her day care provider has helped us for some of that, she's great with teaching her that stuff. And for some reason, Josie listens better with her than us..hmmm. She does have some trouble listening and is really good and tuning us out pretending she doesn't hear us. SO - she tends to get in trouble a little more now lately. Church has been the struggle lately with her...it gets too long for her but she'll learn eventually. We'll have to get her involved with taking up the gifts with the other kids.

That's about it here. Take care 'til next time when I have something worth reporting.
